Background
I take projects from concept to launch and then keep them honest: design, front-end build, CMS architecture, and the marketing and analytics layer that shows whether any of it worked. After more than two decades in agencies and in-house teams, I'm most at home on small teams where everyone owns delivery. Handoffs are where good work gets lost, so I tend to sit in the gaps between design, development, and marketing and make sure it ships.
These days at Fuseideas, I build modern websites and digital experiences with React, Next.js, and headless CMS architectures. One recent highlight: I designed and built a conversational AI assistant for the Fuseideas website, backed by a custom RAG knowledge base that grounds its answers in the agency's real work. The simpler assistant you can chat with here on my portfolio is a lighter take on that same idea. My design background and marketing experience shape how I approach all of it.
Over the years I've shipped work for clients including HBO, National Geographic, Georgetown University, XPO Logistics, National Grid, and the Cayman Islands.
Before Fuseideas, I spent nine years at a Portland agency that began as Kemp Goldberg Partners and later became Industrium, working as a front-end developer on interactive campaigns and digital experiences. In between, I ran marketing for the American Association for Physician Leadership, building email campaigns, landing pages, and funnels in HubSpot and rebuilding the organization's website from the ground up.
My first job, though, was at a scrappy BMX company in Orlando, where I designed full product lines, laid out brand catalogs, and built websites. I got exposed to every part of a brand, and that range has been the through-line ever since. The common thread is simple: I care about the work, and I care about the people I do it for.

Frequently asked
Who is Evan Parker?
Evan Parker is a Senior Interactive Developer & Designer at Fuseideas, a Boston advertising agency, working remotely from Wilmington, Delaware. He has more than twenty years of agency and in-house experience and can take a project from concept to launch: design, front-end build, CMS, and the marketing and analytics layer underneath it.
What technologies does Evan work with?
His day-to-day stack is React, Next.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, paired with headless or decoupled WordPress, Supabase, and GraphQL. He also builds on Drupal, Shopify, Kentico, and HubSpot, hand-codes responsive HTML email and HTML5 display banners, and works with GSAP, Google Analytics 4, and Google Tag Manager.
Does Evan build accessible websites?
Yes. Sites such as the Georgetown University Steers Center and Alexander + Roberts, and email templates for the National Grid Marketplace, were built to WCAG 2.2 AA, with fully responsive layouts and dark-mode support where the channel allows it.
What AI engineering has Evan done?
He designed and built the conversational assistant on the Fuseideas website, backed by a custom RAG knowledge base that embeds agency content with OpenAI embeddings and stores it in Supabase Postgres with pgvector. He also created AIAPS, the AI Audio Protection Standard, pairing a JUCE audio plugin with a Next.js and Supabase registry and an OpenAI-powered assistant. The assistant on this portfolio is a lighter version of the same idea, grounded in the site's own content.
How can I contact Evan?
